A pretty good post from Guy Kawasaki on the economics of start-ups (or “the new economics of entrepreneurship”) in our current times…. worth a couple of minutes to have a read.

Unless I live to 126 I have more history than future on this planet. This simply means that I have observed much for a long time. The one aspect of society, especially in Australia, that saddens me most is the incredible willingness of people to cut down those who have a go. We do that so well. One could even say that Australian sarcasm, cynicism and disparagement has developed into its own body of negative hyperbole.
Australia is a great country but if it is to achieve anywhere near its full potential, its citizens must work together in their respective fields of expertise. Constructive criticism is good because it facilities further or lateral thought. Criticism based on quality evidence is good because it can influence the direction of improvement. Criticism born of conjecture, spurious calls to authority or bloody-mindedness really has no place.
Perhaps Greg should seek counselling to redirect his obvious talent toward useful endeavours.
