Go get ‘em…. and then throw away the key!

I guess by now you’d get the impression that I am passionate about digital and everything it enables us to do. Unfortunately, there is a dreadful dark side to all this connectivity and the fact that it enables people with distorted proclivities to pursue their disgusting interests. I am talking about misguided uses such as child pornography, hate mongering and other dark uses.

Every now and then though, my faith in the officials to hunt down and prosecute these scum is rewarded. This article in Australia’s Sydney Morning Herald newspaper is one such case. The officials involved in this investigation have worked across 30 countries for more than 2 years to catch more than 60 people. I admire this commitment to the important task at hand and the diligence they have shown. I hope they never stop hunting these people down…. and then throwing away the keys.
